This fantastic balm took awhile for some of us to describe. It is not notably oily or wet. It is a very waxy balm. When you first apply it on your skin, it feels smooth and creamy. As you continue to rub it in, your hand slips freely then is gripped by the balm. When you are completely done rubbing it in, there is a smooth, light resistance to the skin. One gal said it feels very dewy. This would make a great therapy or massage balm. We all agree, this interesting balm is a must try.

INSTRUCTIONS
Weigh all of the ingredients into a microwavable container except for the Liquid Germall Plus and fragrance. Heat until the all of the ingredients have melted. Using the immersion blender, mix until completely blended.
Allow the solution to cool to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, stirring occasionally. Add the Liquid Germall Plus and stir well. At this point you can fragrance and color the body balm. Then dispense the balm into containers. I used 1oz jars for this balm.
Should I add more color to this balm? Do you like waxy butters? I want to hear your opinions.
Taylor,
Do you have 1 oz. jars? I would love to have some, but only see 1/2 oz in your catalog.
Terry
At this time we don’t have 1 oz jars. We are going to add the 1 oz PET jars soon, though!
These are awesome!
I received a sample in my order today (1st time receiving a sample – very exciting!). This IS an interesting balm (lotion?) and I really like it! I used it after washing the dishes and it sinks in and leaves a “dry” feel, but I can also feel the wax. My hands feel hydrated and “protected”. I think this is a great recipe for winter – feels like it can protect against cold winds, etc. Think I’m going to make up a batch!
I just made this one for myself. I love how the cocoa butter (I used a golden one) scents the mixture. I chose not to use any other fragrance, and , to be honest, I believe that it was the right choice. It’s fresh, summery, sweet, I LOVE IT!. It does feel waxy in the end, and my hands feel a bit like sweating bit, but it does wonders on the other parts of my body :). A great balm, I HAVE to take it with me for the next holiday 😉
p.s. also, there is no need to add any other color, the cocoa butter does the job 🙂
My second batch came out to be grainy the second day (I believe the graininess is the cocos butter). Is it possible that I used less eWax, without noticing? I thought I have followed the recipe, but it is possible that I looked at a different row in my list of ingredients :). Melting the butter and adding some more eWax could save the batch?
* I meant cocoa butter, not cocos butter; meanwhile I have melted the butter and added some more eWax. Looking forward for tomorrow now…
