In the heat of summer we all need a cool retreat. This tub tea is perfect for a cool dip in the bath tub. Ohh. Spa Time!
Here is the equipment you will need for this recipe.
These are the ingredients you will need for this recipe.
Here is the recipe in percentages. This will allow you to adjust the recipe to fit your needs.
Here is the recipe in grams. I filled 7 jumbo tea bags with approximately 46 grams of material each.
Weigh the Natrasorb and essential oils into the mixing container. Mix well. Add the ground lavender buds, sodium laurel sulfoacetate and dead sea salt. Mix well. Measure into the heat and seal tea bags. Seal the heat and seal tea bags. Now, it is bath time! Are you anti-lavender? What herbs would you use instead of lavender in this type of product? I had thought about peppermint. Would you do a peppermint bath? What herbs would you avoid? |
Taylor, I would make a peppermint. I think for a sumemr cool down the mint would be fantastic. I also have chamomille, perhaps add some powder honey to it!
I have a customer who requests coconut peppermint lotions and candles. Could you have actual coconut and peppermint leaves together? I wonder how that would be.
Lemon Balm!! Mmmmmm!
Ohh! These ALL sound WONDERFUL! I may have more than one bath coming up. I love being inspired by such creative minds. I wonder what other types of blends you could do? Hmm. Who knows when and where the next inspiration will hit? 😉
So, is the SLSa in this recipe to promote foaming, or for some other purpose? I generally try to avoid SLS derivatives–would coco betaine or decyl glucoside work as a substitute?
You can certainly try them. I don’t know if they will work or not.
Taylor,
Can I leave the SLS out because i am allergic to it?
Yes. You can omit the SLSa. Good luck!
