I'm a thirty-something soap snob. I've grown up with handmade soaps, and I love them! I really like making lotions, soaps, and perfumes. I adore mixing scents to come up with something new. My favorite scent is either Wicked or Cotton Candy. I tend to hoard fragrances, I even have an Earl Grey Tea from the MMS catalog. I won't tell you how old it is, but it sure is good!
At the beginning of January, I asked you to guess how many books Tina read last year. We got many guesses, and they ranged all over the board from 5 all the way to 259! You may be asking, how many books did she read? Tina read 101 books in […]
After making the Strawberries & Champagne lotion yesterday, I decided that one little gift for the ladies wasn’t enough. To mix up the scent options, I dug through the blog fragrance collection and found a bottle of Lavender Fleur. I discovered that it brought back some great memories! Did you […]
This year, Valentine’s Day has me very excited to make fun little gifts and pampering treats. One of the things I love about this holiday is the gifts that are given to our sweethearts as well as our friends. Today I wanted to pop into the blog kitchen to make a […]
The new year is only a few days old, and yet I find myself thinking about Valentine’s Day. I can’t wait for the holiday this year because I’ve had tons of ideas for projects to make as little Valentine gifts for my friends and family. Have you started making any […]
I’m feeling the need for another guessing contest! I used one of the Adventurous Makers Calendar to record the number of eggs that my family’s chickens lay in 2017. I not only wanted to know how many eggs we got from our hens, but I needed to create some farm […]
Today is January 2nd! YAHOOOO! We have missed you so much and are ready to jump into processing your orders with renewed vigor. Today we are scrambling to get orders out the door and on their way to you. If we miss your phone call today, it is because so […]
One of our favorite uses for the Adventurous Makers Calendar is to record positive things and accomplishments for our year. In 2017, we recorded finished knitting projects, books read, eggs collected, soap made, and even the hay harvested.
I hope you have had a fabulous Saturday! I got a chance to do some preparations for Thanksgiving, and I’m excited about the holiday! To celebrate the weekend, I’m going to run a special until 6 am Tuesday morning! Every order over $120 that is placed between now and Tuesday […]
How is your skin looking and feeling? I’ve decided to jump days and show you how great our volunteer’s arm looks after applying the Lanolin Butter for 10 days. Wow! Can you believe how much difference there is? The left arm at the bottom of the photo looks fantastic, and […]
Have you noticed any difference in your skin yet? Are you taking pictures to compare the before and after? Today our volunteer has shown a slight improvement in the appearance of the skin. The flaky appearance isn’t as noticeable and yet the skin isn’t looking smooth or supple. At this […]
I hope you’ve had enough time to get your ingredients and make your own batch of Lanolin Butter for our Soft Skin Challenge. We’re now starting the application challenge and share the pictures of our guinea pig volunteer’s arms for the next 10 days to give you an idea of […]
Last week, I promised the start of a 10-day soft skin challenge. For this challenge, I’ve issued a few rules for myself and the others in my family that I’ve roped into the challenge with me. Take a photo of your problem spot(s) and treat no more than twice a […]
