We’re Sponsoring Soap Challenge Club in December

We are excited at The Sage to be the December sponsors for Amy Warden’s Soap Challenge Club!

This is the soap Amy Warden made as an example for the December challenge.

This month’s challenge is Back to Basics. The primary goal is to create soap that is uniform in color with completely smooth texture and crisp lines between colors. The secondary part of the challenge is color matching. An inspiration photo with color palette will be provided inside the tutorial. Participants may only use the six colors that are provided from the inspiration photo in their soap.

Color matching should be close, but it doesn’t have to be exact. Any design technique may be used to showcase the uniform colors, crisp lines between colors, and smooth texture of the soap.

Here’s the most exciting part: This will be a completely BLIND challenge – participants must not post anything about their entries anywhere on the internet until after the winners are announced. There will be THREE competitive categories: Beginner, Experienced, and Winners (anyone who has placed in the top three in the 2021 challenges from January through November will be invited to participate in the Winners category.)

The Sage will provide the following prizes:

Grand Prize: $50 gift certificate
2nd Place: $35 gift certificate
3rd Place: $25 gift certificate
Sponsor’s Choice: $20 gift certificate

One overall winner will receive free registration for all the challenges in 2022 courtesy of Soap Challenge Club!

About Denise

I'm a crazy goat lady who got into making my own soap with goat milk, found MMS to order supplies, and now I get to combine my love of creating skin care products with a job to pay the feed bill. I live in Alaska and greatly enjoy the unique aspects of my northern home - summer days when it never gets dark and the Northern Lights dancing above in winter. Favorite scents include Wild Mint and Ivy, Rhubarb & Sugar Cane, and Eucalyptus Spearmint.
