Do You Want the Fuzz or the Navel? A Delectable Lip Balm 2

A couple weeks ago, Andee and I sat down to ponder what should we make to take to the HSCG Conference. She mentioned how people always go crazy over Our Favorite Orange Butter Lip Balm. People have commented about how they were so surprised to learn the orange flavor only came from the Orange Butter and that was no other orange flavoring added. Check out this comment from Crystal.

Fuzzy Navel Lip Balm

My daughter is four years old. From the time she was a baby she has had a problem with dry chapped lips in the winter. The last two years have been the worst. Her poor little lips stay cracked and bleed on a daily basis from October to March. I have had her try so many balms and butters and none of them have ever made any difference. Then last week she was digging through my purse and happened to pull out your orange lip butter! For some reason she decided she wanted to use your balm and (I swear on this) after just one day of use, applying it only twice, her lips are baby soft. It’s like she never had problems at all. Amazing. So thank you very much for the sample! I can’t wait to order some orange butter and play around with it in other products! “

Since this lip balm is so popular, we chose to include it in our HSCG Conference goodie bags! We did make some slight adjustments to the original Orange Butter Lip Balm Recipe to give a nod to the peach state. To mix it up, we added some Peach and Sugar Baby Flavor Oils to create this yummy Fuzzy Navel Lip Balm. I have to admit, this lip balm turned out even better then I had imagined!

Come join me to make up a batch of lip balm!

Label for Fuzzy Navel Lip Balm

The recipe above makes 16 ounces, use the percentages to scale this batch as big or as small as you want.

The first step in making this recipe is to weigh out the Orange Butter, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Beeswax, and Castor Oil. Now that you have these ingredients weighed out, the next step is to heat the oils until they are all melted. You can use a microwave like I did, a double boiler, or method of your choice. After the oils are completely melted, you can add the flavor oils. After adding the flavor oils, don’t forget to give the mixture a good stir to make sure everything is mixed together. Now the finished lip balm mixture can be poured into tubes or any container of your choice.

If you are making a large batch it is essential to use a Lip Balm Tube Filling Tray, it makes it so much quicker and easier! After the tubes are filled they are ready to label and enjoy! We’re sending a limited number of these special lip balms to shipping, so request one with your next order before they are gone!
