Good afternoon everybody! After yesterday’s blog post I got to thinking. What if someone wants to make some Milky Tub Tea for Mother’s Day but doesn’t have any heat and seal tea bags around? So we started brainstorming and ended up with a great idea!
I went to our local craft store and picked up four fat quarters of tightly woven fabric. I ironed the fabric and went to the kitchen to find a small plate. I then laid out my fabric and using the plate as a guide, made as many circles as I could, which was about 5 circles per fat quarter. Next I cut out my fabric circles. If you want you can use pinking shears to give a fun design on the edge or you could use your sewing machine and make a rolled edge. For the ones I made today I just left them as is. I put a spoonful of my tea tub mixture into the center of my fabric circle.
Then I used a ribbon to tie it up!
When using these in the tub you’ll need to massage the bags to make sure the ingredients fully dissolve rather then just becoming a big clump.
I think that they ended up super cute and would make a great gift for Mother’s Day. If you try out this method I would love to see how they turned out.
