More Moisturizers with Ingredients from the Cupboards of Karen and Anne 3

Today I will tackle a few more of the requests from my mountain of requests for our Quick Gifts from Your Cupboard blog post! Let’s go take a gander at the recipes I’ve come up with!

Karen commented, “I rec’d a jar of cream made with your cream base. I love the feel, weight and texture (incredibly smooth). I want to make a body cream similar. Ideas?”

I think I have the formula for you! Since you have the Veggie Emulsifier, I adjusted the Rooibos Body Cream recipe for you. I have also given you the option of choosing your fixed oil so you can choose an oil out of your soaping cupboard that you enjoy on your skin.

60% Water
18% Sunflower Oil or Apricot Kernel Oil or Avocado Oil
7% Veggie Emulsifier
5% Dimethicone
4% Stearic Acid
3% Hydrovance or Sodium Lactate
2% Shea Butter, Refined
0.5% Liquid Germall Plus
0.5% Fragrance of Choice

Anne wrote, “I’d like to see a minty foot cream recipe.”

Based on the e-mails that Anne and I passed back and forth, I’ve come up with one recipe that I think will meet her requirements. This is more of a foot salve, and not very greasy if used in small amounts. This is a recipe that would be best put in small jars as a little will go a long way!

32% HMP Shea Butter
30% Aloe Butter
10% Soy Wax
8% Cherry Oil
5% Anhydrous Lanolin
2% Black Currant Oil
1% Seabuckthorn Fruit Oil
8% Calendula Extract
2% Orchid Extract
1.5% Chamomile Extract
0.5% Peppermint Essential Oil

I have still more formulas that I’m working on! If there is something you would like help with, please feel free to send us a message through the Contact Us page! I’m having fun with all the formulas!

About Andee

Director of Happiness. I'm a thirty-something soap snob. I've grown up with handmade soaps, and I love them! I really like making lotions, soaps, and perfumes. I adore mixing scents to come up with something new. My favorite scent is either Wicked or Cotton Candy. I tend to hoard fragrances, I even have an Earl Grey Tea from the MMS catalog. I won't tell you how old it is, but it sure is good!
