Over the break, Cynthia emailed me, wanting help with a recipe for a lemon cuticle butter. She wanted something similar to Lush’s Lemony Flutter. She had seen a post that Andee had done for a Special Request Orange Cuticle Butter. Also, she didn’t have everything necessary for that recipe. She sent me a list of what she had in her cupboard and we got to work. Come join us in the kitchen for fun and luscious cuticle/hand butter. You won’t want to miss out!
Weigh everything into a microwave safe container. Heat gently until everything is liquid. If everything but the beeswax has melted, stir until it disappears. At this stage, no additional heat is required. If you are adding a fragrance or essential oil, do so now. Stir and pour the solution into small pots for use. Cynthia, for this recipe to be lemon scented, I would use .5% to 1% of Lemon Essential Oil. Start small and add more essential oil as desired. Good luck and I hope you enjoy this recipe! |
Thank you SO much for this!!!! I saw this pop up on my Facebook feed and couldn’t believe it! You guys are the best! I can’t wait to give this a try. Thanks again and hope you’re having a wonderful start to 2012!
I’ve notice that most of your recipes use the microwave. Will they work on the top of my stove as well?
Yes, they will work on your stove top. We just use the microwave because it is faster and simpler.
I hope this helps!

Re your typo challenge! Not sure you didn’t do it deliberately, but the word luscious is mis-spelled.
Fixed it! THanks!
