Spiced Cocoa Cream 2

We have had some snow and cold days recently. I was enjoying a cup of spiced cocoa watching the snow fall when I was struck by inspiration! A spiced cocoa cream would be fabulous. Something to prepare our abused skin for spring and enjoy winter while we are at it. Let’s make the most of winter!

I decided to use Cupuaçu Butter instead of Cocoa Butter, because I wanted an warmer, more earthy scent. This lightly scented lotion is a treat. Especially those who sled, ski and enjoy all of that snow. Warm them up with this spiced cocoa cream. Come join me in the kitchen to prepare this delightful product.

Weigh everything except for Optiphen and the Chai Blend into a microwave safe container. Heat in short bursts until everything is liquid. Mix well, using an immersion blender. Allow the cream to cool below 120 F before adding the Optiphen and Chai Blend. Stir occasionally, preventing the cream from separating. Once the cream is cool and the preservative and essential oil blend have been added, the cream may then be moved to jars or bottles. You are now ready for those snow covered family members to come tramping in. Enjoy!

I received an order today and inside I found a sample of Spiced Cocoa Cream. Can’t wait to give it a try. I think I’ll take it to work tomorrow and share it with my friend Martie. We both like handmade things, and we critique each others creations. So tomorrow we will put it to the test. Thanks.

Taylor, I took my sample of your spiced cocoa cream to work today to share with one of the girls. We both loved it. She kept saying ” You have got to get that receipt.” It has a nice feel and a great warming scent . Things are looking like spring here in the mid west, so I think I’ll make some this fall. Thanks for sharing.
