Fantastic Almond Butter Lotion

Our ultra refined Sweet Almond Butter is derived from sweet almonds (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis), specifically from the Mediterranean area. It is obtained by the cold pressing of selected fruits followed by a full refining process.

The natural oil contains essential fatty acids but also contains unsaponifiables. In your cosmetic formulations, we feel the behavior of Almond Butter is somewhat similar to that of Shea butter. It is a very soft butter with great spreadability, making it ideal for massage butters. It adds moisturizing attributes to creams, lotions, and bar soaps.

Today I’ll combine this marvelous butter with Olive Oil, Aloe Extract, and a few other things to make a lovely moisturizing lotion.

Weigh all ingredients but the Aloe Extract, fragrance, and preservative. Place ingredients into a microwave-safe container and heat gently, using short time bursts, until all ingredients are melted.

Use the stick blender to create the emulsion, blending thoroughly. Check the temperature of the mixture.

When the temperature has fallen below 120ºF, add the Aloe Extract, fragrance, and preservative. Stir or stick blend well to combine.

Pour into bottles and allow the lotion to cool before capping, labeling, and enjoying.

This is a nicely fluid and light lotion. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling pampered.

With the short list of ingredients, it goes together in a hurry and will be ready for your use faster than you think!
