Mango is a favorite flavor, and when you add a creamy component to the profile, it’s even more delicious!
Today I’m making up a lip balm using Mango Butter and flavored with Mango and Buttercream Flavor Oils for a decadent treat.
Rounding out the formula, we have deodorized Cocoa Butter, High Melt Point Shea Butter, Beeswax (of course), Avocado and Castor oils, and Aloe Extract for an extra boost for winter-dry lips.
(Is it spring yet where you live? In my part of Alaska, we are still firmly entrenched in winter with piles of snow everywhere.)
Join me in the work room as I craft this terrific treat for your lips.

Formula
20% Beeswax
15% Mango Butter
10% High Melt Point Shea Butter
15% Cocoa Butter, deodorized
15% Avocado Oil
15% Castor Oil
5% Aloe Extract

Q.S. Yellow Lip Balm Color
57-gram Batch(fills 8 clear 33 mm lip balm jars) |
10-ounce Batch2 ounces Beeswax |
Instructions
Weigh everything but the flavors and color into a microwave-safe container. Heat in short time bursts, stirring after each heating, until all the hard oils and beeswax are liquid. Stir in flavors.
Use a toothpick to dip into the Yellow Lip Balm Color, then stir the toothpick into the lip balm solution, adding more color as needed until the desired color is reached.
Pour lip balm into the jars and allow to cool before putting on the lids.
Notes
I love the flavor of this lip balm! The color is like a yolk from a barnyard chicken, and it’s marvelously sunny and happy!
