Have you ever had a facial and experienced the relaxing feeling that goes along with it?
I have a strong memory of a facial I had years ago during which the aesthetician used a thick, dreamy almond-scented cream to massage my face. That memory prompted me to create this formula.
Beginning with our excellent Oil Perfection Base, I added White Riesling Grapeseed Oil and scented it with Honey Almond Fragrance Oil.
Sourced only from Riesling grapes, cold-pressed White Riesling Grapeseed Oil is a luxurious treat for the skin. While this oil will quickly absorb into the skin, it still leaves a fantastic emollient skin feel. It’s no wonder that spas around the world adore this sensual oil!
White Riesling Grapeseed Oil is rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids (omega-9 and omega-6). It has also been used as a popular oil for not only general skincare but also for soothing dry and itchy skin. White Riesling Grapeseed Oil is also said to encourage healthy skin without making acne worse. Want another reason to adore this oil? It’s has a shelf life of 12-16 months from the date of purchase.
Oil Perfection Base contains Coconut Oil Fractions, Sunflower Seed Oil, Argan Nut Oil, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Extract, Orchid Flower Extract, and Vitamin E. Its non-greasy formula can be used just as it is, but I love the idea of adding the White Riesling Grapeseed Oil and turning it into a decadent cream.

Instructions
Weigh everything but the preservative and fragrance into the microwave-safe container. Heat using 30-second time bursts until all the solids are melted. Make sure you heat it to at least 160 degrees so the Stearic Acid melts fully.
Use the stick blender to create the emulsion, blending until the mixture is thoroughly combined. Use a silicone spatula to scrape down the sides of the container a few times while mixing.
Allow the mixture to cool below 120ºF before adding the preservative and fragrance. Stir well to combine, or use the stick blender again.
Scoop the cream into a zip closure plastic bag, then cut off a corner of the bag to pipe the cream into jars. Allow it to cool completely before putting on the lids.
Notes
I absolutely love this cream! It’s not too thick, not too thin, not overpoweringly scented, and not greasy. It goes on easily and absorbs quickly into the skin, but there is still enough time for a nice massage before the glide is all gone.
Five stars! I highly recommend you give this simple, yet fabulous formula a try!
