Scrumptious Whipped Raspberry Sugar Scrub 2

My number one, all-time favorite fruit is raspberries. One of my favorite desserts is a Razzleberry Pie. MMMMMM! For quite some time I have wanted to make some kind of Raspberry Scrub. One of my favorite parts about my job is when I try products outside of work and then I’m inspired to try to make my own version. I recently used a whipped body scrub, and I loved the fluffy texture and the way it made my skin feel afterward. So today I am going to try and recreate my own!

Scrumptious Whipped Raspberry Sugar Scrub

For this recipe, I chose our Raspberry Seeds, Cranberry Fiber, and our Red Raspberry Seed Oil. The Cranberry Fiber adds a little bit of color but is also a very gentle exfoliator. Then I chose to use our Raspberry Fragrance Oil to complete this plethora of berries. I used a high percentage of Almond Butter and a low amount of liquid oils to help give me the fluffy and whipped texture I desire.

I am so happy with how this scrub turned out. The reason I am calling it scrumptious is that it smelled so good I wanted to eat it! Please refrain from eating beauty products. 😉

Keep on reading for the recipe, I am really excited for this one!

Weighing the Oils

Melted Oils

Weighing the Sugar

Sugar, Seeds, and Cranberry Fiber.

Using a Chopper/Grinder Attachment for the Immersion Blender

Finished Scrub

Weigh all of the oils except for the preservative, fragrance oil, and Polysorbate 80, into a microwave-safe container. Heat just enough so you can mix the butter into the oils. You don’t want your oils to be super hot, just gently warm. Let them cool completely before mixing with the other ingredients, this will give you the whipped texture.

In a separate container, combine the dry ingredients. Mix well. Add the melted oils, Polysorbate 80, LiquaPar and Raspberry Fragrance Oil. Stir the scrub well. You don’t want any clumps of unmixed ingredients. I used an attachment for the immersion blender that is similar to a food processor. This tool made it very easy to combine and helped make the scrub fluffy

Once the scrub is thoroughly mixed, dispense into jars. Cap and label the jars. Now you can give it away, sell it or save it for yourself! Enjoy!
