Blueberry Week Day 2 – Blueberry Bliss Body Scrub 1

Welcome back to day 2 of Blueberry Week! I am really excited for today’s recipe, which is a Blueberry Bliss Body Scrub. Body scrubs are a life saver! They help get all that old dead skin off and leave your skin feeling fresh and new. I always use a body scrub before shaving because it makes a world of difference. Scrubs are so easy to make and are the perfect gift to give to a friend!

Finished and labeled jars of scrub.

Finished and labeled jars of scrub.

Unfortunately, we discontinued the Blueberry Seeds from our catalog due to unavailability, and we will miss them dearly! To achieve a berry-like appearance, I am going to use Blackberry Seeds in this recipe because they are both exfoliating and brilliant in color. I also chose to add just a little bit of Cranberry Fiber to give the scrub a little color. Last but not least I will be using the Blueberry Bliss Fragrance Oil again.

Please note, that in the photos I doubled the recipe. I wanted to have enough to share with all of our readers! The recipe I have provided makes 8 ounces. If you would like to make a different batch size, use the recipe in percentages to calculate the batch size you desire.

The finished scrub

Weigh all of the oils except for the preservative and fragrance oil into a microwave safe container. Heat gently. You don’t want your oils to get too hot, just warm enough to melt the Aloe Butter so it can be mixed in. Now weigh all of the dry ingredients into a separate container and mix until well combined. Next you can add the oils to the dry mixture, also add the Liquapar and Blueberry Bliss Fragrance oil. Mix it all up, and now you’ve got a beautiful body scrub! Share with a friend or keep it all to yourself. Enjoy!
