I have had so much fun the other week making a variety of beard products!
Today I want to make a fast and easy beard balm. I wanted something smooth and creamy that would remain solid at room temperature without getting heavy, greasy or tacky in the beard. This is a fast and simple recipe. Come join me!

In a microwave safe container, weigh all of the ingredients. Heat gently in the microwave until the beeswax begins to melt. At this point, I like to remove my beaker from the microwave and stir the mixture. It should be hot enough that the beeswax will melt during the stirring process. This helps us prevent from overheating our oils while making sure everything is cohesive.
Pour the molten mixture into tins. Allow the beard balm to cool and set up. Cap and label. That is it! It is truly that easy!
I really like the tins for this product but you can use any type of jar. I think either the 0.75 oz or 2 oz tins are perfect for a man’s beard balm. This is a product that does not require a lot of product during application so I think a larger container is hard for a man to use up quickly before the oils start to age and no longer smell fresh.
Note: I did not scent this beard balm for the same reasons I did not scent the beard cream. While it is a lot of fun to add a fragrance to the product, it be really hard to keep the fragrance load low enough it doesn’t interfere with his day. That includes being able to “taste” it during meal times or have it be distracting when he kisses his loved one. This is one place where I say, let the nature of the ingredients shine. You will be surprised to learn that the beeswax adds as sweet honey smell to the beard balm. Let that quality shine through to your finished product.
Thank you Taylor for doing this tutorial on the Simple Beard Balm recipe.
