Many customers have come to us looking for a way to put a pump on our one gallon buckets of lotion base. It is so easy, follow me and I’ll show you how.
Collect needed items:
One gallon pail of lotion
Pump for one gallon jug
Drill
1 inch Spade drill bit
Start by removing the pull tab from the bucket and removing the lid. It is best to drill the hole off to side of the lid rather than in the middle so you have an easier time pumping into containers. Place the lid so half is on the table and the other half hanging off, preferably over a garbage can in order to catch the plastic shavings. Then drill the hole. Take apart your pump by holding and twisting the two white parts that connect the top of the pump to the bottom. Take off the white piece that looks like a cap with a hole in it and insert the bottom part of the pump through the hole through the bottom of the lid and screw on the top piece. You should end up with two extra pieces at the end, the white part you took off and the straw that connects to the bottom of the pump. Wah-lah! You now have a one gallon pail with a pump!
Once I finished this I scented the lotion with some Into The Wild Fragrance Oil and packed it off. It got sent down to shipping so watch out for a lotion sample in your next order!
I don’t agree.
Best regards, Joyce
Joyce,
I’m sure there are other options out there. As the saying goes, “There is more than one way to skin a cat.”
Happy skinning!
Tina
Can you say the exact kind of pump you used, and where you ordered it from?
