Finished Poodle Poof Hair Detangler

Today I am sharing a recipe for a hair detangler. Now you are probably wondering why the heck are we calling this Poodle Poof?! Call it what you want, but because this was originally made for a family with 5 golden doodle dogs, around here we call it Poodle Poof. Don’t let the name discourage you, this can be used on dogs or humans!

I know a gal who has beautiful, long and thick hair but she can’t brush it out when it is dry because of the fact that it gets so tangled and usually ends up looking like lightening has struck near by, with the help of static electricity every hair is standing on end! After just a couple squirts of Poodle Poof her hair was easy to brush through and stayed sleek and shiny looking.  This hair detangler can be used on wet or dry hair, either way it only takes 1 or 2 squirts for soft and luxurious hair. I know you will use 3 or 4 squirts thinking all will be better. Then next time you will try my recommendation of 1 or 2!

Weighing all ingredients into beaker

Weighing all ingredients into beaker

To make this recipe I simply weighed everything into a beaker than used an immersion blender to mix it together. If you notice that you can still see some oil floating on top then that is completely normal. I found that if I added more of the Spray Clear Emulsifier it would solve this problem, but it would leave the hair feeling heavy and greasy. So I thought I would keep the recipe as is and add a label that says shake well before using. I would rather have that than heavy and greasy hair!

Directions for use: Shake bottle prior to spritzing. Product can be applied to damp or dry hair. Spritz the hair lightly. Brush or comb the product through. If additional product is needed, spritz the hair again. Style as desired.
