As I sit here at my desk and look out the window, I get to see a lot of incredible things. Right now as I look out, I can see a brilliant blue sky, puffy white clouds and drab winter brown. I need help! I am feeling totally uninspired for a spring soap. Here is where you come in. I need your help to choose color(s) and scent! Tell me what you imagine the perfect spring soap to look and smell like!
Nothing says spring to me like Irish Spring soap and its fresh clean scent. Not just for guys! So I’d try to dupe that fragrance — maybe a blend of Icy Water + Eucalyptus Spearmint? A spring green or kelly green colorant? Great for St. Paddy’s Day too!
(Personally, I would infuse comfrey leaves powder into lard or olive oil to make a green soap and use my sinus relief EO blend of camphor, eucalyptus, and menthol crystals blend to give the bar a good kick! But that just me.)
Cee,
I am in love with the idea of blending Icy Water and Eucalyptus Spearmint! I am going to have to give that a try!
Thanks for sharing!
How about something green and fresh like Aspin, a pale green color of new grass shoots
Barb,
I love the imagery! Hmn… spring green and aspen. I think I have some inspiration!
Spring always remind me on Arizona orange blossom. Orange is one of my fav colors. Makes me happy and energizes my mind and body. Every spring I had to remake version of my Belladonna soap to calm down my southern nostalgia fillings.
Diana,
That sounds simply lovely. I think I might blend a little orange and Energy Fragrance for my spring orange soap.
Would you mind sharing a picture of your Belladonna soap? We would love to see!
Spring soap to me should be off white with maybe some lavender pieces throughout. When I think of spring, I think of fresh linen and the smell of new flowers. Hope that helps you out!
Joanne,
That sounds fabulous! I can just see it! I am adding to my list of soaps to try.
I LOVE MMS Tangerine and Tulip fragrance. It smells like spring to me. I like the fresh spring colors to go with it. Spring green, lavender, pink, blue, etc.
