Measuring the width
Today is going to be a rather unusual day here on Adventures with the Sage. We are going to be sharing a series of posts that will help you determine which shrink bands will fit your bar of soap. Are you ready?
Measuring the height
To start, you will need a bar of soap and a tape measure. (We recommend that you choose one of the larger bars that you have.) We will need three measurements. The width, the height and the circumference. Once we have those measurements, we can start choosing the right shrink band!
Measuring the circumference
The measurements of the soap I am using today are 3 1/8 (width) by 2 3/4 (height). The circumferences of this soap is 8 1/4 inches. Once you have your soap measured, we can work together to determine what size band you will need.

I just measured my largest bar of soap – 3 1/2 x 2 5/16 x 7 1/2. Which band will I need?

If you take a bit of time to shrink the film I think I would choose Jumbo Decorated. There are some other bands that are not for soap at all that may fit a bit better. Let me check on those for you.

After looking at other band sizes I think I would choose The Jumbo Decorated. I think it has the closest fit of a stock band. If you want a custom band we can do that too.

My bath bombs are 2,55 * 2,55 *7,87 in inches what size should I buy? I’m looking for a completely covered bath bomb( no open sides ) – thank you.
This would look like a huge bar, is that what you have?

Our bars are 2″ wide, 3 1/4″ tall and 8 and 1/4″ in circumference.
Got anything that might fit?
Are the bars approximately 2 x 3.25 x 1? And do you want the open ends on top and bottom or right and left?

85g – Rectangle – 2″ x 3.25″ x 5.5″
160g – Round – 8″

Is the 8″ the circumference? It would help me if I knew which measurement was what. Could you relist them with W, H and C for me? Make sure you set the bar so that the openings of the band are on the right and left side.

Hi – what about a bar that’s 3.5″ wide, 6″ in circumference, and 1″ high?

The Dan’s Bands size will be a bit narrow but that is the closest we have without doing a custom band. I will check to see if we can make a band that is just a small amount bigger.
