I was super happy with the Beloved Orange Lip Balm that we did a little while ago that I started to wonder about mixing it with the Champagne Flavor Oil. So I made a test batch, and I fell in love! I think you will love it as much as I do! Come join me in the kitchen as we play with this recipe!
I didn’t want the Orange Butter to be so strong in this recipe so I replaced some of it with Palm Kernel Oil. It did make this formulation a little firmer but I really like it. The lip balm is still smooth and creamy. It might even be fun to add some of the Ruby Lip Color to this formulation to give it a soft color. Maybe even go a little wild and add some of the Silver Mica! I really liked the finished lip balm. You know what it makes me think of? Orange flavor added to sparkling water. It is sweet and fresh and perfect for summer. I think I want to try this with Lime Essential Oil! Collect needed items:
Recipe: 10 ounces or 284 grams
Weigh all ingredients except the Champagne Flavor Oil into your microwave safe container. Microwave in short bursts until all ingredients are melted. The beeswax will take the most time to melt, but if you stir the lip balm after the other oils have been heated, it will melt quickly. Once the mixture is melted, add the Champagne Flavor Oil. Stir until all of the flavor has been incorporated. Fill tubes or jars. Cool. Label.

this sounds delicious! I’ve now received my mini lip balm tubes and look forward to experimenting x M p.s. still cant get over how adorable they are!
What a great flavor combo. Sounds like a mimosa!
OMG I so have to try out this recipe…but I would have to sub the beeswax with candelilla and/or carnauba (vegan). For color (since it’s made with orange butter) I would try either coral or a red/yellow mix. Thanks for the recipe!
