We all know that moms work hard. Some of you may may be moms and yet others are just grateful for the support our moms give us. In honor of the rapidly approaching Mother’s Day, I would like to challenge our readers to share ways that they relax. Then we will make personalized products that play off those items you use to relax. Tell me what you do to relax.
- Do you bake?
- Do you play an instrument?
- Do you work outdoors?
- Do you pamper your body?
- Do you draw?
- Do you write?
Let’s get started with your ideas!
Mother's Day Is Coming Up!,
I have M&M’s within reach, pour a Diet Coke, put on a good movie and sit down to Quilt. (Sigh…)
I am a Mom and for me it’s the following: bath, cup of tea, read. =) Occasionally I also game!
» Do you bake?
OOOOH yes!! It’s my favourinte thing to do apart from soaping….
» Do you play an instrument?
Nope, wish I could though.
» Do you work outdoors?
No, although I love being outdoors, especially on the beach when it’s deserted.
» Do you pamper your body?
Not enough!! Since starting to make soap, I think this will change as I love putting luxurious things in my soaps.
» Do you draw?
Used to, don’t have the time anymore.
» Do you write?
I’m in the process of writing our family recipes out so that I can make a book each for my two daughters.
My mother was an excellent cook but unfortunately didn’t write anything down – I don’t want to make the same mistake.
p.s. Thanks for all the help and advice on your site – this new world of soapmaking has introduced me to some of the
most generous people ever who love to share ideas and skills – thank you!
I am a mom and I have a mom too! My mom taught me a few things, well, okay, a LOT of things, things like how to sew and bake and garden. I thought they were work when I was a kid. Not so now! These same mad skilz my mom taught me are the ones I enjoy doing to relax and kick back. I love creating… doesn’t have to be a work of art of something useful or amazing even. As long as I’m creating stuff, I’m happy! Relaxing things to do, for me, include making soap or other good things for my body, baking chocolate chip cookies (and leaving the dishes!), and making my gardens beautiful. Happy Mother’s Day!
