The other day, I made the Summer Peach Lip Balm but I wondered if I could make the feel of the lip balm stand out and get noticed. I wanted a great lip balm. Come join me in the kitchen as we work to achieve greatness.
I wanted to have a peach flavored lip balm again but I wanted to change things up a little. I decided to add some of our Champagne Flavor Oil to give the Peach Flavor a little sparkle. I think it did so quite nicely. I know I will be making this flavor combination again! I wanted a smoother, more creamy lip balm. To achieve this, I decided to increase the amount of Hydrogenated Soybean Oil. I think this lip balm turned out nicely. It was smooth and very creamy with a light feel on the lips. There was also a minimal amount of gloss.

Weigh everything except the flavor oils into a microwave safe container. Heat gently until everything is liquid. Stir well. Add the Peach Flavor Oil and Champagne Flavor Oil. Pour into container. Allow the lip balm to cool. Label and enjoy! |
I received my sample of this lip balm. Oh My Goodness! I love it. The feel is nice. It feel like you have something on, but it doesn’t have that waxy feel that I usually want to wipe off once I put it on. The scent is out of this world. You should see me or maybe not. I keep shifting my upper lip so I can smell the lip balm. My stomach even growled like I was getting ready to eat something peachy. lol Poor disappointed stomach, all its gonna get is plain oatmeal.
Is there anything I can substitute the peach kernel oil and palm kernel oil with? I don’t have either of those on hand…
Thanks!!
What do you have that is liquid at room temperature and of medium body? Sweet Almond Oil? This would be for the Peach Kernel Oil.
Do you have hydrogenated soy or white cocoa butter for the palm kernel?
Tina
I do, I do!!! I have both of those!! Awesome!! Thank you so much Tina, you’re a lifesaver 🙂 !!!
