Lemon Poppy Seed Scrub 2

This is a thicker, more viscous scrub. It does not leave an oily reside behind, and is great for exfoliating skin. Another benefit, it smells great. This scrub is a great way to a foodies heart!

This was originally posted in our recipes section as the Plum Wild Body Scrub. I decided to try it and Voila, here is a scrub that is to die for and absolutely perfect as a Lemon Poppy Seed Scrub! Uh-oh. I am making myself hungry! I can’t wait for Friday. We will be making Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies. Friday can’t come quickly enough. In the mean time, let’s busy ourselves with this delightful scrub. Off to the kitchen we go!

2 ounces Melt & Pour Soap, Transparent
8 ounces Sugar
.5 ounces Poppy Seeds
.07 ounces Lemon Essential Oil, Argentina
Recipe in Grams
14.18 grams Squalane
85 grams Hemp Oil, Refined
14.18 grams Neem Oil
56.7 grams Melt & Pour Soap, Transparent
226.8 grams Sugar
14.18 grams Poppy Seeds
2 grams Lemon Essential Oil, Argentina
Recipe in Percentages
3% Squalane
21% Hemp Oil, Refined
3% Neem Oil
14% Melt & Pour Soap, Transparent
57% Sugar
14.18 grams Poppy Seeds
.07 ounces Lemon Essential Oil, Argentina

Weigh your Melt & Pour Soap and oils into a microwavable container. Heat until the liquid soap is liquid. Stir well. Add the sugar, poppy seeds and Lemon Essential Oil. Mix well. Scoop the scrub into containers. Label and enjoy.

Note:

I would recommend that this scrub is accompanied by a spatula. This is a thick, paste like scrub and may need some assistance when being removed from a container. Also, the scent of the Neem Oil does carry through. If you do not like the odor, you may exchange the Neem Oil for one of your favorite liquid oils.

I like the texture of this scrub. I think is would be really nice with a superfine sugar.
Most scrubs I use tend to be oil heavy but this one just might convert me though!
