I love lipsticks, lip balms, and lip glosses. I have stashes in my purse, my car, on my desk, and through out my house. What can I say? I am an addict.I love this Firm & Glossy Lip Balm recipe for the texture and appearance. This is an incredible lip balm that is firmer and creates a soft glossy shine. Want to add a little shimmer to this fantastic lip balm? Try adding a little bit of Ultrafine Iridescent Glitter for that perfect shimmer. Ooh la la.

Weigh all ingredients except the Vitamin E Acetate and Cranberry Flavor Oil into your microwave safe container. Microwave in short bursts until all ingredients are melted. The Candelilla Wax and Carnauba Wax will take the most time to melt, but if you stir the lip balm after the other oils have been heated, they will melt quickly. Once the mixture is melted, add the Vitamin E Acetate and Cranberry Flavor Oil. Stir until all of the flavor has been incorporated. Fill tubes or jars. Cool. Label.
Notes: The Candelilla Wax and Carnauba Wax are both hard waxes that have high melt point temperatures. Make sure you heat the mixture until it is crystal clear. This will prevent your lip balm from fractionating due to the waxes that had not been melted completely.
Hiya Taylor,
I LUV this! How much oil soluble lip color did you use? Also, I have some MMS Warm Red Mica — can I use that instead?
Thanks!
Cee
Hi, I know this is just in a random spot but I was wondering if you might have a natural eye cream you might be able to share. I didn’t see anything under your recipes and would really love to learn how to make one. I have a ton of mini jars I would love to use… I just recently made your cuticle cream. Loved it! Well thought I would pass that on!
Is there a cream you would like to duplicate? What are you wanting this cream to do?
Hi Andee! Well I would love something that might be a “natural or mostly natural” anti wrinkle cream. Something eye safe, moisturizing, and definitely not greasy feeling. I’ve gotten pretty good at making lotions and creams but when it comes to the eyes I’m not sure what would work and be safe. Suggestions?
Cee,
Sorry I have been so long to respond. This move has been chaotic! I put about a small pin-heads worth of oil soluble color on a tooth pick and stirred it into my lip balm. You can put the Warm Red Mica in your lip balm. I think the Warm Red Mica would look beautiful. I just made a Cucumber Melon lip balm with the Blue Mica. It looks so pretty. Best of luck to you!
