Lately, I’ve been having lots of fun making cold process soap and I’ve been on a swirls kick! I made a Cinnamon Rosemary Soap with Brown Oxide for the swirls. I also made a soap with Bulgarian Lavender and I used Lavender Fields for the swirls. Both of these soaps turned out so well I had to share the pictures of the finished soaps with you!

That lavendar looks gorgeous! What is the difference between the Bulgarian lavendar and the other lavendar you carry?
thienkim,
Bulgarian Lavender is not blended, therefore, the scent will vary from crop to crop. Each crop varies from water received, season harvested, weather and other factors.
Lavender 40/42 is blended. The blending is to help the scent stay the same even with crop differences.
With your colors, did you mix it into glycerins first? I’m haven’t tried color yet and am trying get get tips from everyone. Is 1/2 ts of pigments a good general suggestion per lb? And what if I add two colors? What would you suggest then?
I used the same recommendations from the Cold Process Soap, Day Five tutorial. I think that 1/2 tsp of pigment colorants per lb of fats is a good place to start.
