As a woman, one of the first things I do when getting ready for a date is tackle my hair. It is unruly and baby fine which means I can have a constant frizz if the humidity is high enough. If you know someone who faces trouble with their hair, consider this hair conditioner. It may save her 30 minutes which means you can get on your date sooner. She is worth it and so is your date night.
It is light and won’t make the hair heavy or greasy and it is packed with hair loving goodness. Give her the gift of gorgeous, soft hair. She will love it!

Weigh everything except the preservative, extracts and fragrance oil into a microwave safe container. We highly recommend that you add weigh your water soluble materials first. This helps insure the aloe powder dissolves without having to chase down every little clump. Heat the material gently until everything is liquid.
Using an immersion blender, mix everything well. Allow the mixture to cool. (Check on it every once in a while during the cooling stage. We don’t want it to separate.) Once the mixture is below 120ΒΊ F, add the Liquid Germall Plus, extracts and fragrance oil. Mix well. Pour the mixture into containers and enjoy!
Notes: I love using this conditioner on my hair. It keeps my hair soft and shiny without weighing it down or making it feel greasy. I also don’t have any fly-aways. Bonus! I feel like I could be in one of those fancy hair commercials. Cue the music please!
All joking aside, this is a wonderful conditioner. I feel it is perfect for those with fine to mid-weight hair. I don’t know that it would suit anyone with thicker hair. Anyone willing to volunteer?
P.S. I kept the amount of fragrance really low. The shower is an enclosed space and can intensify scents. I also didn’t want something so intensely scented, it would double as a perfume. It is light and subtle. Just enough to be there. Only people really, really close would be able to smell it. This allows layering of scents without dictating which ones you can use.
I VOLUNTEER!!! I have very thick hair, and have been searching for YEARS to find a conditioner that doesn’t make my hair feel weighed down and oily, nor get the lovely dry, fly away hair! I also have 2 daughters, one has very fine but long hair and it’s always super dry all the time! My other daughter has thicker hair, but it starts looking greasy within 5 or 6 hours after washing it, every single time she washes it, so she hates it! So if you are looking for someone to try some out, we would love to! π

I think there might be an error in the water amount? Everything in the recipe is multiplied by 4, but the water amount is multiplied by almost 9? Just wondering…
Susan,
Whoops! How embarrassing! Thanks for helping me catch that. I wish I could say I fat fingered the keyboard. It is more of an error in my notes. I have corrected those confusing numbers.
Best,
Taylor
And the hydrovance is multiplied by 8?
Taylor, I was reading through this recipe, and noticed that the percentages do not equal the proportions of the weights listed. It looks like a great recipe though, especially with all of those lovely extracts! π
Katie,
Good eye! Susan saw the same thing. This was an error on my part. How mortifying! Anyway, I have recovered enough to triple check my notes are correct the recipe. Thanks!
