Martin Luther King Jr. Day 1

Martin Luther King Day is a federal holiday observed on the third Monday in January. In 2014, it falls on Jan. 20. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, also known as Civil Rights Day, is a very special and important day.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?'”

This encourages each and everyone of us across this nation to come together and to serve our neighbors and communities. The MLK Day of Service is part of the United We Serve, the President’s national call to service initiative. All Americans are asked to work together and provide solutions to our most pressing national problems.

As today is Civil Rights Day, there are some important announcements that need to be made. Today, the Post Office is closed. No orders will ship if they have been ordered using this method. If you are waiting for an order through USPS, they will not deliver today. Check your mail box tomorrow! UPS is open today and we will ship all orders that use a UPS shipping method and UPS is making deliveries today.

Thank you and what ever activity you choose to do today, have a wonderful day!

I hoard the little slivers to squeeze out every last bubble. I get them wet and try to mold them into larger bars too. My family also thinks I’m a bit weird with my soaping obsession but I can’t help loving the feel of homemade natural gentle soap with big luxurious bubbles.
