Fragrance Samples!

I love being able to try new fragrances. For me, the scents are half of the fun in making my own soaps and lotions. I love smelling great but I also love the flexibility that making my own products offers. I only need to make as much as I plan or desire to use. We are going to be sending out some samples that let you try some of our delightful fragrances. It also lets you try our bases. These are perfect for when you are in a pinch and you don’t have enough time to make something by scratch.I will admit, I love the simplicity of our bases. I use them all the time for gift baskets, birthdays and other events. One of my favorite bases is our Paraben Free Lotion Base. It is a medium weight lotion that is incredibly moisturizing. This is definitely a big bang for your buck. This is my go-to lotion for camping, hiking or traveling because it is long lasting and a small amount goes a long way. How cool is that? Now I want to tell you about the samples we will be sending out this week. Are you ready? Let’s go!

First on that list is Kalahari Melon. Wow! This fragrance oil is fresh, fun, and fruity. Think of succulent watermelon, heavenly cantaloupe and sweet honeydew. This is not a simple, delicate fragrance. It is bold, attention demanding melon! Think almost watermelon flavored Jolly Rancher bold. To round out this fragrance is soft strawberry, juicy peach, tart pineapple, and alluring raspberry. This fragrance speaks of summer to me. That summer feel is made stronger with notes of green cucumbers, violet greens, musk and rum. Honestly, this fragrance reminds me of sun, sprinklers in the yard, sun burns and fruit platters. Absolutely scrumptious!

Next on the list is French Lime Blossom. French Lime Blossom Fragrance Oil is absolutely delightful! Now the French Lime Blossom is not the lime you and I think of when we hear lime. It is not the green citrus fruit. It is actually what we call in the United States linden or basswood. This is a floral scent but don’t let that description turn you off. This is not an overwhelming rose or a medicinal lavender, this is truly a gentle, light, exquisite floral fragrance. This tree produces beautiful, white, aromatic flowers. Their settlement is smooth, floral, feminine, clean and fresh without being overwhelming like it’s other floral counterparts, such as rose, gardenia, lavender and sometimes even lilac. This fanciful fragrance even has notes of violet and white lily. This is what I think of when I think of perfumes for women in their late 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.

Last on our list today is Marrakesh. I will be honest with you I love oriental/exotic fragrances, and Marrakesh is in a league of its own! Marrakesh Fragrance Oil is exotic, spicy and scents while still being very homey. It’s like traveling in a bottle. What I love most about it is I don’t have to dig up my passport! Allow me to explain. Take the scents we are very familiar with such as sweet rich honey and delicate lavender and exotic aromas such as saffron and cassia. Add the odors of amber, sandalwood, leather and vanilla bean. I can’t wait to do some more experimenting with this new fragrance oil. It is certainly a delight!

I hope my descriptions of these fragrances and our Lotion Base have intrigued you. If you’d like to try one, just put in the comments field of your next order which sample you like to try! We will make sure to stick one in. Have a great time!
