Golden Oreo Truffles – Day 1

Do you remember the Chocolate Oreo Truffles we made? I thought they would be a lot of fun to make just in time for Valentine’s Day, but with the Golden Oreos instead of the original. You know, you could even flavor with different extracts. Perhaps a cherry flavor extract. You could even color the dough red! Yummy! Shall we head to the kitchen to get started on these sweet treats?

Collect Needed Items:

Ingredients
Golden Oreo Cookies
Cream Cheese
Vanilla Extract
Equipment
Food Processor
Spatula
Bowel
Cookie Sheet

Recipe:

Recipe
1 18 oz package Golden Oreo Cookies
8 oz Cream Cheese
1 tsp Vanilla Extract

In a food processor, grind up the package of Oreos into a fine powder. Make sure there are no lumps left. Add the 8 oz package of cream cheese. Blend until smooth. There should not be any streaks of cream cheese. It should be blended thoroughly. At this point form the dough into balls and refrigerate overnight. Tomorrow we will coat these in milk chocolate with a drizzle of white chocolate.

Note: You may want to chill the mixture for an hour before forming into bit size balls. Otherwise the dough is hard to shape and is very sticky. I also recommend that you make small sized balls. Half a teaspoon or smaller is perfect. If they are bigger, they can be a little to intense to eat the entire thing.
