Head to Toe Cream Samples 8

Head to Toe Cream

Head to Toe Cream

I have finished about 320 samples (2 fl oz) of the Head to Toe Cream and they will be shipping out with orders! Yippee! If you get one of these samples or you have used the Head to Toe Cream before, I would love to hear your thoughts about this cream. I think it is my favorite moisturizing base in our entire catalog!

Good Luck!

Don’t forget to submit your blog or video posts to win the MMS Perfumer’s Kit. Remember, this kit is worth $280! Submissions are due by January 1st for posts during December.

About Andee

Director of Happiness. I'm a thirty-something soap snob. I've grown up with handmade soaps, and I love them! I really like making lotions, soaps, and perfumes. I adore mixing scents to come up with something new. My favorite scent is either Wicked or Cotton Candy. I tend to hoard fragrances, I even have an Earl Grey Tea from the MMS catalog. I won't tell you how old it is, but it sure is good!

Hi Andee, I did get one of these samples in my last order, thank you! I also received a fragrance oil sample called Mokalata. Here are my impressions: The cream is very smooth and sinks into your skin quickly. I liked the color, very white. I did not like the sample FO that I added to it, it was way too strong with just a little bit. I think it is a really nice base, however it still has too many “non-naturals” in it for what I like to make, as I am more of a “all-natural” ingredients only. Hope this helps, and thanks so much for all of your great blog posts, they really help me to learn about making products.

Hi Andee, I wanted to give you an update on this cream. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now, and it does make my hands very soft and smooth, it is definitely great for winter time dry skin. Now, if only I could get past the Mokalata fragrance that I added! I love most of your other FOs that I have tried, but this smell is just not for me.

Also, a question on MMS’s Fragrance Oils. One of my clients wanted to know if your line of FOs are phlalate (sp?) free. I told her I did not know since it wasn’t on the FO description page, but that I would try to find out. Could you please help me out here?

    Thanks a lot,

      Kathy,

Fragrance is certainly a personal thing. There are scents I love, and those that just aren’t my cup of tea (or coffee, in your case). If you like florals, try the Kailua Bay, it is very strong so use it lightly.

Most of our fragrance oils are phthalate free. Some contain phthalates because they need assistance in anchoring the scent (making it longer lasting). We do not believe that phthalates in fragrances will cause a small penis (yes, this is the primary alarm on this product).

For more information on phthalates, please see phthalates.org

I recieved a sample just this week. After working in the yard with dirt and water my hands are quite dry. This made my hands feel soft and nourished. Thanks for the sample!!

    Hi, Andee,

I’m a newby to handling your products. I recently purchased a 5lb tub of the Head to Toe Cream, which I love the feel of. I plan to add fragrance in 16oz batches and dispurse the product in to 2oz containers. What would be the proper mixing ratio of fragrance to the cream? Do I need to worry about adding any preservatives, ect. to the final mixture?

Depending on the scent you will add between 1/2 to 1% of fragrance. So, if you weigh out 1 lb of cream, then you will add 2.25 to 4.5 grams of scent. Which fragrance are you planning to make first? We could do the calculations on that one together so you can see what we suggest.

      Rhonda,

Oh! You are in for a treat! You won’t need a scale for this base. It is just mixed and fill the jars. May I suggest a pastry bag for filling the jars?
