Orange Butter Lip Balm

I have a notebook where I write down my notes from the blog kitchen, makes lists of things I would like to try and dream up formulations. As time goes on, sometimes I forget those thoughts are in my project notebook. I had the opportunity to flip through my book and I found a formulation I had created but never tested. After looking a the recipe, I decided it was time to make it. After all, it had orange butter in it. What citrus lover could resist? Come join me as we make this luscious orange butter lip balm.

I really enjoyed this recipe. It is firm but it has a nice smooth and is just slightly glossy. One thing that rather surprised me is that this formulation is smooth and creamy like there is Castor Oil in to formulation but there isn’t any! There is also an almost imperceptible tackiness that lends to a glossy feel without looking unnaturally glossy. If there are any lip balm recipes I recommend you try, this is one of them!
