| Yesterday I told you of my love for ginger. I decided I wanted to make a triple ginger soap. In my mind you can never have to much ginger. In this soap I used our Ginger Fragrance Oil, ground ginger, and fresh ginger! Even if you are not part of the ginger fan club, this soap is fun and exotic!Whenever I go to Salt Lake City, I visit the London Market. I replenish my stocks of marzipan, parma-violets, elderflower soda, chocolates and preserves. Note: I am not from the United Kingdom, just a HUGE fan of exotic foods. However, no matter how much I have at home, I always get crystalized ginger, ginger preserves and spicy ginger beer sodas. I am definitely part of of the ginger fan club. 😉
I don’t know how many of you have been to a sushi restaurant but when I first went I was introduced to pickled ginger. Our Korean friends were explaining all of the sauces. Once I learned it was ginger, I picked up a a large slice, paired it with a california roll and chowed down. Our friends eyes became large as saucers and they scrambled to get me a drink. Knowing me, I am sure you can guess what I did next. You got it! I went back for another. Come join me for this spicy ginger soap!
Collect Needed Items:
Weigh all of the oils into a microwave safe container. Heat gently until liquid. Add the lye to the water to for a lye solution. Mix the oils and lye solution and blend until a light trace is achieved. Add the Ginger Fragrance Oil, minced ginger and ground ginger and mix well. Pour into a mold and allow to sit for 24 hours. Cut the soap. Allow the soap to cure. Longer curing time will result in a harder bar. Enjoy!
