For this recipe, I chose to use white granulated sugar as the exfoliant which is the most important ingredient in a lip scrub! Sugar is sweet and helps enhance the flavor oils and yet doesn’t irritate or sting chapped lips.

I chose Mango Butter and Sweet Almond Oil because they have very minimal flavor and they feel good for all most everyone’s lips! Naturally, I wanted to help extend the shelf life of my scrub and reduce the chance of oxidation, so I added Vitamin E Natural as my antioxidant.

Weigh all of the ingredients into the food processor bowl. Gently pulse the ingredients together until thoroughly mixed. Once the scrub is mixed together, fill the jars and cap. If you want to make a small batch, you can easily use a food processor attachment for a stick blender. To use this lip scrub, scoop out a tiny bit onto your finger and simply rub it all over your lips. Then you can either lick it off or wash it off, it’s up to you!
