Starry_Night

Hydrovance and Dimethicone can use glycerin instead. The feel won't be the same but you can do the alternatives. Aloe juice will still need a preservative. We wish there were a natural preservative that worked. We feel there will be options in the near future.

Keep these things in mind when making lotions:
1) water grows bugs (yeast, bacteria and mold)
2) look for natural but ONLY settle for safe
3) no recipe is a failure, it only has undesirable characteristics for your CURRENT desires
4) have fun and share the results

bluebutterflz,
This recipe makes about 18 ounces. I used a 2 ounce jar that is used for blog samples. I'm glad you like the Rooibos Tea.

I just wanted to say that I got a sample of this with my last order. And WOW !!!! I love this stuff and want to tell you how much I am loving this. I like it better than my own cream that I make. I need to order some jars in the near future from MMS and now I know there will be a few other things added to that shopping list. (just a few ingredients that I don't have)

This stuff is amazing, it feels so good and is just wonderful. And that scent, Rooibos Tea...... I don't think I would have looked twice at it given the name BUT now that I've smelled it I know that I need to add it to my list of fragrances for my customers. It's wonderful !!!

If you make creams this is a must try recipe, it's that good!

Thanks you for including this with my order and sharing the recipe.

Hi, I'm new to your blog. But I like what I see so far, very educational!

I'm trying to go a more natural route, is there a subsitute I could put in replace of the Hydrovance and
Dimethicone? And if I added aloe vera gel or juice instead of water could I omit the preservative? Or do you carry a natural derived preservative?

I've never tried lotions before and have been wanting to for a while now.
To play it up would I be able to use this recipe to switch around ingredients for others?

Goodness you are such a sweetie! I was so suprised you made it a blog recipe! Yea! I'm sooo excited to try this! I'll let you know how mine turns out after I get the extra supplies I need from you. Could you tell me how much this makes, what size jars you used?

Oh and I went out and got some of the Rooibos Tea you suggested finally. The smell alone is just wonderful! The color makes a lovely red-orange color that I'm tempted to try in soap and the taste is perfect.

Thank you Andee and MMS
